How we’re run - our Board

Berneslai Homes Board members are company directors and are responsible for:

• Making sure we achieve our core objectives
• Providing strategic leadership and challenge
• Sound financial management of the company
• The performance of the company
• The health and safety of our staff and customers
• Setting the policies and operational framework for the company
• Giving direction on key areas for improvement

Board meetings

You’re welcome to join a Berneslai Homes Board meeting.

Our public Board meetings are held five times per year.

Meetings to be held during 2023:

• 13 July 2023 - virtual, 4pm
• 28 September 2023 –Gateway Plaza, 4pm, followed by the Annual General Meeting, 6pm
• 7 December 2023 – virtual, 4pm

Meet our Board

The Board has nine members: the Chair, two tenant members, four independent members, and two Barnsley Council members. This means that different interests are represented, and the Board can make sound decisions for tenants and residents in Barnsley.
